Welcome to my blog, where I’ll share: Platt events, news and plans, students artwork, cultural bulletin along with some of my thoughts – all just for you – my students, colleagues, graduates and friends of Platt College.
About Platt:
Platt is an art and design media school where talents are shaped to bloom for inspiration, joy and thoughts provoking. We make our process an adventurous ride on which poetry and music is heard, art history and history visited, fine art practiced, European and Asian cities strolled, dramas and opera seen, conventions, conferences, studios, parks and galleries frequented. All of that is under Platt auspices and its carefully devised inspirational plan.
Our goal is to set enlightening joyful ambiance, teach to avoid empty conventions, develop personal styles, instill a high standard of ethics, emphasize importance of citizenry, establish camaraderie, and especially set the sense of wonder.
Schools have been long admired to have several thousands students and many locations. Today it may be as admirable, brave (and rare) to remain small by choice. Platt College made the wise choice of always accepting only a manageable number of students taught at one school location. Only then our college can carry out its philosophy: Philosophy of meaningful and honest process not cheated of genuine individual attention. We have been successfully on the chosen road for twenty eight years.
Thank you for finding my blog and for keeping me company. It would be lonely without you. And if you feel lonely by reading it – add sound to it! Sigh! Sing! Hum! Make faces! Smile! Raise your eyebrow! Grin or frown! But, please, come back.
