* SOLIDARITY FOR HAITI
SOLIDARITY FOR HAITI

"SOLIDARITY" - it is a planned event for Tuesday, February 9, 2009 form 10 AM - 10 PM. We will be raising money for Haiti - our goal is $900. (Calculated that each of Platt person will contribute $4 - 5 - since some can give less, some of us will donate more to even it up.) We will donate the money to organization called "Artists for Justice and Peace" - it is American run organization that builds, for the last year, schools in Haiti. Very reputable organization with well established relationship with locals. Come down at 10 AM, 1 PM or 8 PM to courtyard to listen to music and socialize a bit. I know you probably all donated already your money - but please, if you can - contribute several dollars! Let us all make the event successful! We will serve pizza!

Come to see spectacular performance by Japanese drummers and dancers! February 16, 2010 at 7.30 PM in Copley Symphony Hall at 750 B Street. Students and faculty $5, guests $10. http://www.sandiegosymphony.com/ Parking options: Free on the street (may be a challenge but I always do that) Free in Horton Plaza (4 blocks away and you validate your ticket for 4 hours - for free) Across street is parking lot that cost $10.

Southern California Graphic Design Expo (formerly known as Print Week) is the biggest event of its kind in San Diego County. It will be Platt College third year appearance at the event with booth facilitated by dedicated Platt staff. Graphic Design teachers will take several seminars offered at the event. 10 AM - 5 PM San Diego Convention.
